Plaid for Dad Truck Campaign

In 2019, Sutco launched an awareness and fundraising campaign for Prostate Cancer,"Plaid for Dad". Our Plaid wrapped T680 Kenworth has been turning heads and creating awareness on the highways traveling Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest of the States.

As we all know, early detection of prostate cancer is key to survival. This campaign will raise more than $100,000 over 4 years with the incredible support of these generous organizations: Atco Wood Products, Bill’s Heavy Duty, CBS, Cummins, Inland, Kalesnikoff, Kaltire, Kenworth (Paccar), Mercer Celgar and Meritor.

Pink Truck Campaign

In 2014, Sutco launched their latest cancer fighting initiative, a beautiful pink 2015 Kenworth T680 called Pink Power.  As their own take on the “Driving Towards a Cure” slogan, this is by far their biggest fundraising initiative to date. PINK POWER has never looked so good! “We have been supporting numerous cancer fighting events for years with the Sutco “Driving Towards a Cure” slogan.” said President of Sutco, Chris Sutherland. “Through these events we’ve had a tremendous amount of success fostering awareness, raising funds for research, and supporting those with this terrible disease and their families.” 

Unfortunately, cancer is not just an event; it’s an everyday occurrence for all those affected by it. With that thought in mind, and in an effort to do as much they can, Sutco has made “Driving Towards a Cure” an everyday campaign. Over the next 3 years PINK POWER, will be traveling the highways in Southern BC and Northern WA, ID and MT.  Every kilometer traveled will generate funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. This campaign will raise approximately $70,000 over 3 years with donations from Atco Wood Products, Inland Kenworth/Parker Pacific, Interfor, Kaltire, Kenworth, Magnum, Tolko, Tycrop, and Zellstoff Celgar all of which are contributing 1 cent for every kilometre travelled by Pink Power.
